The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) has new rules to enhance privacy and security. These rules mean that Cited must now collect information and ID required to undertake Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks (NCCHC) directly from the Applicant.
As a result, NCCHC checks (only) may no longer be submitted on behalf of Applicants. Instead, these may be requested from individuals using the existing invitation and registration process whereby the Applicant is invited to conduct an NCCHC with Cited.
How does the invitation work?
Cited will send an invitation to your Applicant inviting them to complete the checks you selected and provide the necessary information.
Once we have everything required from the applicant, the requested check is processed, and the results will be returned within your Cited account as normal.
Can I still submit other checks on behalf of Applicants?
Only Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks are excluded from the Org Submitted process. You may continue to submit other checks on behalf of Applicants.
