Approximately 30% of all police checks ordered within Australia are referred for manual vetting. When this situation occurs, the police check result may take from 1 – 15, and in some instances more, business days to be returned.
Manual vetting of a National Police Check may need to be performed if the applicant shares similar details with other individuals listed in police databases. This can occur if the applicant has a common name. With this in mind, Cited always recommends that you order your National Police Check at least 2 weeks before the result certificate is required.
