On 1 July 2016, CrimTrac and the Australian Crime Commission join forces as the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) to combat criminal and national security threats. Effective immediately, the ACIC will be responsible for the National Police Checking Service (NPCS) previously delivered by CrimTrac.
Bright’s status as an accredited CrimTrac service provider, along with our technical integrations with the CrimTrac database, have now transitioned automatically to ACIC. From today, ACIC will be the issuing body for all Police Checks nationally, including Cited™ National Police Checks and Cited™ Volunteer National Police Checks delivered by Bright People Technologies.
